NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 399 See Cut 1 of Amazona mercenaria. Weather: Light cloudy. Foraging birds. This involves a large foraging assembly, which includes this species as well as Amazona mercenaria. I think the more nasal sounds are of the present species but there are sounds from both species and I couldn't separate. I think the ~ "chip-chop" and "warbles" in latter part are of A. mercenaria. Quality: 1-2. Level: +3. 139 tape. Tape speed: 7.5. Then I added some recording beginning with the nasal calls that I think may be of the Pionus. Quality: 2. 139 tape. Tape speed: 7.5. Then calls of a flying bird that I think is probably this species. Quality: 2-3. Level: +5. 139 tape. Tape speed: 3 3/4. Social Context: Mixed.
