Cover Density: Medium.))Feeding with other tanagers at a loquat tree. First cut: "jeer-jeer-jeer" given by female or immature male. Second cut: "ji-ji-ji-ji-ji-ji" given by adult male. [LNS copies filtered, high-pass, @ 200 Hz.] Third cut: No bird sounds, carpentry and laughter only. Fourth cut: Various sounds as described. These very poor recordings were made in hotel. Courtyard/parking lot where a construction project was in progress. Habitat: Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest, Urban, Suburban.
