Observation details
This bird was noticeably smaller than the juvenile green herons which flushed from the same small area. The throats and breast were strikingly lighter than the upper parts. The bill was very yellow/orange. The very large feet were the same yellow/orange. The legs, which dangled in flight were slightly greener. The upper parts were grayish. I noticed a white area either on the rump or tail.
