Copy from orig. @ 7.5; filt. 100/5 kHz.Notes re: Cut 60:5/V/70 - activity ~ normal in the usual place today.6/V/70 - first activity notes: a display up hill @ 5:29; general display didn't begin until 5:35. Birds today.10/V/70 - Pica de la Toma - no activity noticed; no palm fruit ripe this year (last year at this time was ripe).18/V/70 - Pica de la Toma - again no activity - usual areas but some displays high on ridge of building side of "portachuelo."16/V/70 - @ Km 21 there was no activity either, although some birds seen feeding in the cecropia area.19/V/70 - @ Km 21 - clear: Arrive 5:30 - some conflict noticed upon ridge; a few "ao" calls in the usual area but no display up to 5:40 AM (lots of rain during past 10 days). Only one display heard up to 5:50 AM; no display in usual area. Pair of birds feeding in cecropia area, on cecropia and tree with tiny fruit. No real activity, however. Observations up to 6:15 AM. Probably due to some of the heavy rains.8/VIII/70 - @ Km 21: Lots of birds in area. Much callling: "ao," bother and conflict, flight screams, usual dawn. However, not a single wing-drumming flight display was heard.
