NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 42. Bulk reel: 379. Time: 5:35 AM to ~ 6:00 AM. Weather: Fair. Location: Same as Cut 21 [see above] but slightly nearer building. First sounds @ 5:40 AM by birds up hill. This bird then came down closer to path, calling "ao" constantly. Then bird below path started calling "ao" @ ~ 5:46 and focus shifts to this bird. Bird above path moved down more, over the path. This developed into a brief conflict situation. (Voice comments on tape), then back "ao" calling. Tape: 137. Quality: 1. Level: +5. For events after recording stops, see over: "Comments re: Cut 4) - Both birds (these could be birds 2 & "3" rather than 1 & 2, and this bird [referred to in next sentence as "another bird"] could be 1) moved further down the hill. Then another bird started calling above the path.
