NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 38. Bulk reel: 378 Time: 5:25 AM to [blank]. First activity (5:34 AM) was some "ao" calls by bird up the hill. (None saved.) Next calling @ 5:40 by bird down hill. Then some quiet bother calls by bird up hill. Then "ao" calls and series whistles up hill; continued only short while. No further activity in my area after 5:40, although some "ao" calls distantly. Then @ 5:30 a bird below path gave some "ao" calls and another some bother sounds. Quality: 3. Level: 0. Tape: 203. Field note made 11 June 1969 indicates that wing-whir displays "ceased" and vocal activity decreased greatly after heavy rains began end of May/beginning June.
