NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. Bulk reel: 355203 tape.Bird #4. This bird was obtained at same time as other birds, 26 August 1971. It was in female plumage, as was another obtained at same time hoping to provide female for the R. G. collection. However, the latter was prepared and proved to be a young male (specimen #7785), so the present bird was saved hoping it too might be a male, with idea of learning what its song would be like as it developed away from its conspecies. As of the date of this recording it is still not in adult male plumage but has begun to sing and these are recordings of calls and some song made on date indicated. Quality: 2. Level: +3. 3.75 & 7.5 ips. LN.Note: This bird sings mostly, almost entirely, in [sentence unfinished].Note re: Cut 3) & Cut 4): Before I could record more of this bird (Cut 3 bird), while I was absent and without my consent or knowledge, Alejandro took this bird (~ July 1972) to use as decoy to try to capture a wild bird. I allowed him to keep it from then on. In 1973 he did succeed in capturing some birds. See separate note.Note: Part b) was recorded a few days later, very probably ~26 June.
