Observation details
Viewed from Williamsport side of river walk just downriver from Market St bridge at about 6:30pm. We were watching the harrier when the jaeger cut across above us. Flight style was buoyant and bird appeared small. My first naked eye impression was common nighthawk or tern. Bird was continuously flapping and was heading north or northwest out over the city. Weather was calm and sunny. Bird went out of view behind bridge and when we rushed to the other side we could not see it again because of the setting sun. Photos show structure and plumage traits consistent with LTJA.
