White Ibis, the backside of it. Mainly dark brown with a white patch on the rump.
Observation details
The White Ibis was spotted by Andrea Denton and I, Lydia Scheeren, tried to take pictures of this bird. (I have a Canon, Power Shot, SX530 HS, to small of a camera for good pictures at such a long distance). We were on the west side of the Hudson River and the birds were on the East side. There was a Bald Eagle that would chase the White Ibis and four Great Egrets off their perches. The five birds flew as a group each time. We watched this for about 45 minutes until they were out of sight. They kept moving upstream.
