Observation details
Estimate by fives. Groups seen frequently along the stream corridor, up to 7 at a time. Although I saw groups flying along the corridor, I think that this estimate is conservative, given the frequency with which I saw groups of waxwings. At least two juveniles seen (finally - first juveniles here this year!), though I may have seen as many as four. I wonder if these represent successful nests in the immediate area, or birds from nests elsewhere. Observed a bird sallying out to (presumably) catch insects over the creek on several occasions.
