Observation details
Hunkered down in the corner marsh. We (WBA birding group) conducted a tight sweep of the marsh and the teal flushed almost underfoot, flew weakly for about 20 ft and landed in front of us. Distinct facial pattern. Grayish upper wing coverts. Cinnamon leading edge to speculum. This bird was present until September 2nd in the corner marsh. First definitive record for Gambell and St. Lawrence Island.
