Observation details
Four Western Sandpipers were wading near the point where the distribution channel feeds into Pool 14. To get there, I walked on dried mudflats that are now sprung with weeds and crop plants. I took a wide berth so as not to disturb shorebirds, and in the process, three Horned Larks flew out of the grass. Two WESA's were feeding together, and two others were broken off. One of these was feeding among Pectoral Sandpipers.
