NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. *2:45-5:30; Bulk reel: 2931530 to 1600 hours. Weather: Light cloudy. This bird is in the adjoining territory to that of Cut 2). Although frequently singing naturally and a very varied singer, today when I wanted to record it, it didn't sing so I played the recording of Cut 2) with this result. Quality: 1. Level: +5, +3. 7.5 ips.Then more a little later. Quality: 1. Level: -3.Filt. 200/6[rest of this notation and others regarding this recording too faint and small to read in recordist's notes]. Quality: 1. Level: +10, +3. Good song.Bird now in a new position ~ 3 m. away. Quality: 1. Level: +2.Then a bit @ 15 ips. Quality: 1. Level: 0.Then back @ 7.5 ips again. Quality: 1. Level: 0. (good song)1715 hours. Cloudy fair. Then at least 3/4 hour since any playback. Quality: 2. Level: +5.Then a little later. Quality: 1. Level: 0.~ 1800 hours. Then the bird flew into a mist net set for other purposes but within 5' after release started singing again. Quality: 1. Level: +3.At the end, as happened several times previously, another bird started singing and then this one stopped (or flew to another perch).
