Media notes
The motmot in the foreground is giving the typical vocalizations that could be heard over a large area, either from several pairs or from one widely ranging pair, probably the latter. This morning, however, some unusual calls came from the direction of the more distant bird of the pair. I was unable to record those calls and never heard them again. I believe they were produced by a motmot, but I am not certain. Range expansion. ML: 150 Hz AUHipass filter applied in soundBlade to first, third, and fourth segments. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest.
