NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 265; CD-ROM 2-34-28.Weather: Cloudy, fair. After whistled imitation. Quality: 2+. Level: +5.After playback. Quality: 1-2. Level: +5. 3 3/4 ips. LN. 203 tape.Notes: This bird had been singing the same song far away. With whistled imitation it came a little closer and after playback of that recording came still closer. However it was very shy and I never saw it to identify properly. Identification by J.W.F [John W. Fitzpatrick][23Jul98: Upon review of this tape, John W. Fitzpatrick states that this recording is in fact D. longicauda. The earlier identification was made in error. PS. original ident. was Deconychura stictolaema.] ML: Subject changed from Certhiasomus stictolaemus to Deconychura longicauda as per John Fitzpatrick and Tayler Brooks. -Matt Medler, 10 Aug 2016.
