Observation details
While bill had an orange tint, eyes were clearly yellow, suggesting to us that this is a male in eclipse plumage. Bird seen around 6:30pm at waters edge about one hundred yards east of the 1.25E marker. Bird was preening, but otherwise not very active. We observed for 30 minutes.
