NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 2. Bulk reel: 265 This recorded in same general area (as Cut #1) but ~ 500 m. distant and one year before. Note difference in voice. This requires further investigation. This bird was by its nest in hole in dead tree. Weather: Fair. a) 11:00 AM. First natural song then some after playback. Quality: 1-2. Level: 5. 131 tape. b) Same place ~ 30 minutes later. c) 4:30 PM. Recordings made in same spot. Note that this "song" is much more similar to Cut #1 and that the 2a) & b) type song can be heard in background. Quality: 1. Level: 5. 51M tape. Field notes say that this bird was sitting outside its nest hole.
