NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 25. Bulk reel: 264 Weather: Fair. This is a different type call. Quality: 1. Level: 0. 139 tape. I have also watched this species give this same call near Sta. Maria (Upata), although there it is very slightly different and sounds much like one of the calls of Phloeoceastes rubricollis. This bird then collected (= male #6932). See also Cut 5 of Pachyramphus castaneus for what are probably some series calls of this species.
