Observation details
County bird. Heard giving upslurred call. Seemed huskier, but difficult to tell. Identified as wood-pewee by size, shape and foraging behavior; suggestive as western by 1to1 proportion of primary extension to tail, duller upper wing bar compared to lower (although, quite variable depending on viewing angle), and more of an upright body posture compared to eastern w-p's propensity to cock their tail downwards (September/October edition of Birding, 2008).
