Observation details
Continuing. Medium-sized but slender shorebird with unusually long, pink legs and a longish, very straight black bill. It was generally white underneath and black (or at least very dark) on its back, the back of its neck, and its head, though there was a white spot just above the eye. Most of the time it was foraging in the shallow water, keeping within a rather small portion of the panne, though it did move into the nearby grass at one point and stood for five or six minutes before heading out to feed again.
