Observation details
In the same paddock identified earlier in the day by Bernadette but closer to the intersection to Carey Rd. They were quite a distance off from the road and were quite a strain to see via bins - a scope would have been much better. The photos are pretty indistinct - through the bins, the birds looked more gracile, lightish brown and smaller than the banded lapwings seen around. Also more upright with pointed tails. Had some spare time to review the series of photos including some poor quality ones to determine the actual number of Pratincoles. I removed the 2 shots of the "possible" bird as I can't be sure it might not be a pipit based on size. According to the different backgrounds and the fact the birds were never seen flying or moving quickly, each of the different locations should represent a different bird. Count appears to be a minimum of 6 seen.
