Observation details
Likely the same individual that was seen in the same Bellvue ditch on last year’s Christmas count. Brownish duck, similar to female mallard, but with bright yellow bill. Did not have the black spot on gape that Mottled Duck would have. Bill color ruled out American Black Duck.
