Media notes

One individual `vireo singing` then flight calling as it flew away at 10:18. Not seen but seemed like one bird. Flight calls (0:59-1:08) ambiguous and eastern-like, just like most individuals in the Santa Cruz mountains it seems.

Observation details

Two were doing Cassin's Vireo-like songs and one was a calling flyover. The flyover sounded like typical western flight calls and one of the other two had more eastern-like flight calls.

Additional species

  • Pileated Woodpecker Dryocopus pileatus
