A MOGO is sitting up on a horizontal branch of a tall, spreading, leguminous-looking tree along the road at ca. 350-400m elevation. It calls intermittently as it preens. Background includes: Ivory-breasted Pitta. Recorded with a Zoom-F3, using a Wildtronics MicroMic XLR Microphone in a Wildtronics Pro Mini Parabola.
Observation details
400m, heard from the car by Khaleb, and we stopped and saw it settled, preening endlessly, calling frequently; primary forest; different from yesterday; recorded;
