Observation details

Continuing loon found by Luke Deneson yesterday afternoon. Smaller loon with thin bill, grayish-silver hood (in certain light) and vertical contrasting line between white fore-neck and dark hind-neck. Held bill horizontally. I didn't notice much of a chin strap, but could sometimes make out a faint shadow where the chin strap would be; not sure if shadow or real. Details and photos to add. Bird dove frequently, only staying above water for a moment before diving again. During my entire observation period the bird was only consistently above water for a single 3-minute stretch of time (see video), otherwise diving the whole time. 45.250158, -93.648772
