Observation details
**RARE | Review species for the state. Upon encountering this flock of 4 jaegers, they were at first spread out and not flying in tight formation. Soon these three joined up and began flying with the boat together in a flock, leaving the PAJA trailing behind. These three birds are small bodied, thin billed, and show two white primary shafts on P10 and P9 only. ID discussed with Luke Seitz, and Louis Bevier who also asked for opinion by Julian Hough. All agree that these are LTJA. As of 13 October 2018, the Maine Birds Records Committee has voted to accept all three as LTJA.
