Observation details

Brady loop SW corner on Valentine rd. Saw-whet was first calling in a sound and cadence I was not familiar with, but assumed it was an owl. Merlin picked it up as Saw-whet. It soon started a more familiar call- yet still sort of odd. Sort of a panicky cadence while perching above the rain swollen slough.
