Observation details

2 Mallard - Blue headed mallard male drake accompanied by female in Hidden Harbour Lake, male and female pair observed many hours on lake, geese group closely following. Later observed with group of three pairs of mallards; male head from front and side are blue, head from back is more blue/purple color [photos - one shows the back side of blue headed male facing his female]
