Observation details

Male adult seen at the peninsula with one of the sub adults. the other sub adult was seen near the lake portion on the west side of the library. the subadults have differing amounts of red on the crown. one with more red on the head, especially near the bill and the other with a few small streak of red and also a larger streak a little above the eye. There is a near adult across the lake to the east of the restaurant. It has full adult plumage now with only around two white feathers on his head. the full adult near the east end of the island was not seen. possibly due to the presence of the Say's phoebe.
