Observation details

Flew up from weedy ground into junipers and Russian olives. Furtive and difficult to photograph. Thrasher with very decurved scythe like bill and long tail. Dark gray-brown plumage with chestnut undertail coverts. No streaks or spots on underparts. Sang briefly. Habitat juniper and Russian olive woodland with dense patches interspersed with tall weeds near river. End of Soda Springs Rd/trail.
