Observation details

My first visit in nearly 20 years. Probably best to view from the large parking area ($5). Feeder is visible. There is a snowy path that leads above the feeder, but this may be too close. The rosy-finches were surprisingly jumpy. They came in (about 60) at 8 on the button, noisily circled, and ravenously attacked the seed in the feeder. They left after a minute, came back, came and went, and then departed en masse down slope. They were in the immediate vicinity for perhaps five minutes. I'll need to look at my flock photos closely adjust proportions.
