Observation details
Singing at intervals, but repeatedly around 11:20 AM, heard from just beyond the dark red bridge along trail leading along the edge of the lake from the dam to wet area. I made a tape recording of its song, which consisted of five slurred whistled notes in a cadence similar to Black-throated Green Warbler's 5-note song. There was not a jumble at the end of the song (unlike La. Waterthrush,) and the song lacked any buzzy character. Bird was in wet understory at some distance away, and I did not see it. I don't believe that I had ever encountered this bird at Henderson Park before. The wav file is presented below:
