Media notes

A remarkable mimic, an adult using the alarm call of the New Holland Honeyeater, most likely to scare would be predators for its nest or even recent fledged juveniles.

Observation details

A remarkable mimic of the alarm call of the new Holland Honeyeater. The thornbill was in my clear line of sight; it perched on an exposed twig and mimicked the call.
