A single BCCH was recorded as it first entered the feeder. It left with a seed to a nearby branch and pecked at the seed with several "seet "(26.2 seconds) as it foraged. It returned for a second seed, segment 2, then left to the distant woodlot.
Observation details
One BCCH was first noted after the feeders were replenished. It called then noted the sunflower seeds. It took one, flew to a nearby branch and tapped at the seed between its feet on the branch. Several light call notes were heard as it tapped at the seed with several "seet" notes (candy cane-like shaped notes), as it continued. Also a "psip" note (inverted "v" shaped note) at 30.1 seconds. It returned to the feeder, segment two on the recording. It took a second seed, then left the feeder to the south woodlot.
