Observation details
The Bohemian Waxwing was sitting on top of the tallest Spruce in the back of the garden. At one point it was throwing up a long string of something. About 1/2 fell down but the other half of the string, about the length of the bird, stayed attached to the beak and dangled for a moment. It only that only came loose and fell off after the bird shook its head vigorously. See photos - sorry about the quality of the images - the distance was about 100 yards against a light sky.
