Observation details

Sharp-looking adult that flew in and landed on boat docks to join WEGU flock around 1645. Herring-like, but smaller, with rounder head, smaller bill, dark eyes, and limited black in outer primaries. Amazingly this same individual was photographed by Matt Sadowski earlier today approximately 13 miles to the SSW in south San Diego Bay (https://ebird.org/checklist/S289110574). Distant low-light photos.
