Observation details
Small plain looking sparrow with relatively long tail, streaky crown, plain cheek patch and plain clean front. No dark line from eye to beak like CHSP or central crown line like clay colored sparrow. Compared to Wrentits nearby was very small. Camaflouged well on the ground. Popped from the canyon onto the trail along with two Wrentits. Observed BRSP at 7.45pm to 7.52pm basked in sunset hues. Left the bird on the trail. Vicinity of 33.6020391, -117.7517746. Including habitat pics as well. I could be bit off but this part of the trail is easy to find had shrubs right on the trail. Video of the bird with additional guidance to habitat: https://youtu.be/IFZcBu4daBA?feature=shared Many many thanks to Tom W. for the ID confirmation. Thanks, Tom!!!!!
