It was making a squeaky call, it is audible twice in the recording. I was in the middle of the town and recording on my phone.
Observation details
Two adults. Body appeared more or less uniformly rusty orange, head and bib grey. Butt shaped breast. Yellow beak, characteristic dark stripes on head and a white mustache. It made a strange squeaky call.
