luckily quite a distinctive species, with the extensive rufous on flanks. Several in the area but almost impossible to get eyes on
Observation details
Finally got (barely) looks at one after going in thru the brush to get to an opening. Other than Buff-fronted Owl.....hardest bird to get a look at on the trip.
