Observation details

Female. Photos to follow. Initially found by Duncan Fraser. Reddish head and upper neck except for throat which is white. Sharp dividing line between reddish upper and white lower neck. In photo the difference is size is noticeable between the Common and Red-breasted Merganser. The Common Merganser also appears to ride a bit higher in the water than the Red-breasted Merganser.
