Observation details

Medium size duck , with brown head , mostly black bill , grayish body with some white, and striking golden eye that I could see from the very distant view I had … I walked the perimeter of the lake without seeing it, I did see other groups of Bufflehead and hooded Merganser‘s,and pied billed grebes, just before leaving. I scanned the lake one last time and saw it at the far opposite edge of lake , alone, and frequently under water .. will add photos although they are from a distant and not good quality ( Lake Dumont)
