Observation details
1st Cycle. Immediately noticed as it stood out from other gulls. Shape and size closest to Glaucous Gull but overall much too dark. Shared with Willie and Alec, as well as North American Gulls group on Facebook. Was able to get a screenshot off of a video in flight. Large head and bill with dark beady eye. Short primary projection with uniform pale wingtips in flight. Solid grayish mantle instead of mottled like Iceland Gulls. Was flushed 3 times by an Eagle (returning twice) but was not able to relocate. Last seen around 12:30 PM. 1st Niagara Falls record I believe. Digiscoped photos attached.
