Foraging under the outcropping rocks
Observation details
Foraging in the uncovered leaf litter. Kind of makes it a bit easy to look for Winter wrens as you can simply look at the areas underneath logs or rock outcroppings along the trail. Pretty much the areas that are not completely covered in snow is your best place to look for them foraging. This is the same individual I have been seeing for the past few days. It has been hanging out near the vernal pool on Falls ravine. I was once again waiting on the Sapsucker when it popped up. Watched it for about 25 minutes and then headed up towards Trough.
