Observation details
Right when I arrived, parked on Grand Ave next to the park, saw soaring up towards the mountains. Second bird I saw was the Zone-Tailed Hawk. The group moved off to the east pretty quick so i went down in the park to see if I could get a better view. Saw a zillion vultures but didn't see the hawk again. Black hawk, white tail stripe, soaring with Turkey Vultures, dihedral wing position. Wintering in Monrovia for its 7th (??) year. If it's been the same individual every year.
