Observation details
Seen distantly in flight from the viewing platform at the right-angle bend in the trail, at (30.27311, -89.93465). Flying northwest. When I spotted it, I expected it to be an American White Pelican, but I immediately realized it was a Wood Stork instead, based on its long neck and trailing legs. Pattern of black on wings also slightly different from that of American White Pelican and much more extensive than that of White Ibis. Poor photos.
