Observation details

Continuing rarity. Bright yellow and greenish-backed warbler with distinct black hood, white underside to tail and white corners to the tail visible when flashed by the bird as it moved around. The bird was making bright and clear “tiip” call notes repeatedly and then would be silent for some time. Feeding typically in the low understory and on the ground, moving constantly. Best views were from about here looking into the yard. 44.0323705, -123.0648606 There was a gravel path on the right side of the yard when viewed from this point. The bird was mostly just to the left of the path moving about on the ground. Unfortunately, there was a blower consistently in the background. I’ve attached a recording, but the blower can be heard very clearly in the background. Supports the ID, and possibly good training for the algorithm.
