Observation details
This mass of Redheads is possibly the most number of the same species I've seen at once. The wall of Short-tailed Shearwaters in Gambell, Alaska is the only thing I can think of to rival this. There were several large rafts already resting on the water, consisting of thousands of birds, when another large cloud of Redheads flew in as I was leaving.
