Observation details
The House Finches seem to have accepted a lone Dark-eyed Junco, and he hangs out with them, eating and perching on the ceiling fan over the feeders. When the House Finches fly away, most of the time the Dark-eyed Junco stays and continues to eat, so I guess they don't take him home to roost, they're just cordial here. They are not so cordial in Summer time though when the American Goldfinches show up, but maybe it is mating season then and that is why the House Finches run the Goldfinches away, but are ok with the Dark-eyed Junco hanging around in the non-mating season of Winter.
