Two female Purple Finch on left, and a diseased male House Finch on the right. The PUFI chased other HOFI away, but left this half-blind, sickly HOFI alone.
Observation details
I heard one calling while setting out more food, and as soon as I got back inside, I had 1 male and 2 females at safflower tray feeder at 10:15. House Finch chased away by these larger birds. Note: new bird for the Winter Tally of the NC Bird Atlas, so this list was changed to the NCBA portal.
