Observation details
A pair of ducks feeding on the far side of the main billabong from the viewing area. Most of the time they were head down, tail up feeding. I'm still a bit undecided if they are Chestnut Teals or Shovelers (which have been reported here the last few days). The feeding behaviour seems like Teals but the only picture I could get of them with their heads up seem to show a male without the deep green head typical of teals. Bill shape is not clear. Based on the picture I'll put them down as the Shovelers.
